In educational settings, it is essential that all the clocks from room to room, building to building operate with proven time-keeping capability. Bells and other alerts must be easily scheduled and perform as needed day after day to ensure that students and educators are kept aware of all important times and events. To keep primary and secondary schools, colleges, and universities operating with up-to-the-minute accuracy, Sapling Inc. manufactures a number of different custom wall clocks and modern synchronized clock systems.
Sapling’s master clocks for schools can receive the time from most existing systems, the Internet or GPS via an atomic time source, or they can work as an independent master. Programming bells and alerts as well as troubleshooting are hassle-free and are simple enough for a novice. Additionally, Sapling designs both the wired and wireless systems to easily interface with different bell scheduling and intercom systems. Our SAM smart clocks are perfect for retro fit situations. Each clock uses our automatic protocol detection. Simply integrate a SAM clock into a sync-wire system and it will decipher which system it is running on and act as a clone. Digital or analog, the type of school wall clocks we manufacture work in today’s ever-changing learning environment.
Extremely flexible and easy to use, Sapling’s wireless clock system is unique from its competitors because it utilizes frequency hopping technology in a license-free open frequency range, FCC Part 15, Section 15,247. Capable of transmitting up to 2000 meters in open space, Sapling’s wireless transmitter sends signals to secondary clocks located throughout the facility. These secondary clocks then receive and retransmit the signal to the surrounding clocks. Sapling recommends our wireless clock system for modern schools, colleges, and universities with an irregular or unique structural design even if the campus occupies a large expanse of property, consequently requiring a broad signal range.
With both data and power running on the same two wires, Sapling’s innovative 2-wire digital communication system is almost impossible to connect incorrectly especially with its reverse polarity detection, which automatically flips incorrect data. In addition, this system allows you to mix analog and digital clocks from our wide assortment of clock series on the same two wires. The 2-wire digital communication system runs on 24-volt power and in order to generate the necessary voltage and data combination, a Sapling Converter Box (part # SCB-000-000-1) is required. If a SMC Series Master Clock is being utilized, the optional 24-volt power supply (part # SMC-000-010-1) must be installed. Features like simple installation and constant synchronization make Sapling’s 2-wire wall clock system an excellent choice for all types of educational facilities.
